When I despair of living, and remember no purpose and joy, my only prayer in that time is that I will remember my life is about Christ. As I remember this, I need to muster all my strength and turn my face yet again upward, to my Savior and Lord, who is my hope.
As long as I fix my eyes on myself - my anxieties, my hopes, my failing and weaknesses- I will despair. I have such high expectations of myself.. I have no reason for this, but I seem to always think I should be doing better than I am.
My hope and trust is in Christ, and He will not forsake me.
I pray that when all seems dark, empty and meaningless, that I will remember Christ and turn again to gaze upon His beauty.
